David Evans
David has been working in the insurance business since 1989. He obtained his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1992. He finds working with our clients to be extremely rewarding, especially, during their claim time. Claim time for customers may raise many emotions and questions about coverage complexities, and interpretations. He takes great print that our Agency provides outstanding communication, empathy, and knowledge to help get our clients back on their feet.
He tries to find work/life balance by doing fun stuff. Items that he finds fun:
Bicycling – many miles every season, two complete trips across New York State, following the Erie Canal, with his two children. For the most recent four years, they have completed extended tours all around the Finger Lakes of NY, camping along the miles while raising money for some great causes.
Motorcycling – he finds the experience very similar to the feeling of bliss found on a bicycle. The motorcycle just uses more gas. Dave has completed two long extended tours across the US, and deep into both the North West Coast of British Columbia and the North coast of Nova Scotia. He has seen almost all of the States on two wheels and all but one of the Canadian Providences.
Yoga normally completes his weekend and some evenings as well.
Dave has two children named Samantha & Patrick. Samantha is a science teacher in Connecticut and Patrick is a hosting engineer in Wisconsin. Dave’s wife Susan is a CPA, working for BOCES. They share their home with P-Nut their Shih Tzu.
Michelle Cooney
Michelle is a licensed New York Personal and Casualty Broker and has been with the agency since 2004.
Outside work life Michelle is a mom to Josh and Brianna and grandmother to Ethan, Elliott and Karleigh.
Some of her favorite things outside of work are spending time with family, catching up on some of her favorite true crime T.V shows, and writing poetry.
Angela Temple
Angela is a licensed New York Property & Casualty Broker that has been with the Agency Since 2007.
Angela has two young daughters that keep her busy. If she is not coaching her cheer team, she is driving the other daughter to her game.
During her downtime, she cares for her dogs. One of which is a 165lb Great Pyrenees.
Brianna Goodfriend
Brianna has been with our agency since 2019.
Outside of work, she loves taking weekend trips with her husband around New York. She also loves spending time with her cats CeCe and Philip.
Brianna’s favorite season is Fall and her favorite holiday is Halloween.
Todd Stewart
Todd has been working in the insurance business since 1996. He has built many close relationships with his clients. He enjoys educating clients to help them make an informed insurance decision.
In his spare time he and his wife Chris hike, ski, and camp with friends. He has 2 grown children and visits them often in NYC and CT.
Todd also enjoys golf and looks forward to the “boys” golf trip each year- Hilton Head, Orlando and Nevada to name a few destinations.
While not on the course Todd enjoys standing in a stream trying to catch a trout on a fly- sometimes it works!
Diane Carusone-Mcginn
Diane has been a member of our team for 6 years.
She is working part-time in our commercial lines division as well as assisting with marketing, data maintenance and helping Dave with new projects.
She has three sons and four grandchildren.
She enjoys spending time with her family and working with The RED Bookshelf, a non-profit literacy program for children.
Ashley Shepherd
Ashley is the newest member of our team as well as being new to the Capital District.
Outside of work she enjoys watching dirt fly at the local dirt car race tracks such as Fonda Speedway and Weedsport with her fiancé. She is also a dog mom to her new puggle pup named Milo. On the weekends she enjoys taking out her four-wheeler and spending time with family.
Alyssa Sukhu
She is a dog mom to Kira & Apollo. She loves traveling, embracing new cultures and different ways of life, and learning about people. She enjoys fishing, hiking in the fall & she likes to think of herself as a “land mermaid”- any opportunity to swim, she’s taking it!
Alyssa says working in insurance has to be the most rewarding because we take the stress out of the “what if’s”. People can prepare all their life for things but life happens and then we can help!
